Night

I’m never up late. Something about hanging out with a bunch of old people in a neighborhood like Franklinton makes me sleepy. Tonight though, after celebrating Heather’s birthday, I had a burst of energy. So here I am, awake in our living room at 12:45am. I have two conflicting observations in response to all of the sounds and activity outside that I’m hearing that I’m normally asleep for:

1. I’m glad I’m normally asleep during this because it sounds like people are hurting each other and it’s scaring me.

2. I’m terrified that I’m normally asleep during this because it sounds like people are hurting each other and it’s scaring me.
